Please Help Dusty the Cat

Below is a picture of Dusty the cat. Sometime over the weekend of Feb. 14/15, someone uploaded a set of videos to YouTube that showed two teenaged boys abusing this poor cat. YouTube has removed the videos, as they violated their terms of service, but copies are available across the Internet, and we have linked to two below. Please, viewer discrection is advised. These are graphic videos that show this poor animal being tortured.
We need to help bring those responsible for Dusty’s abuse to answer for their crimes.
If you know anything about these kids or this abuse, please help Dusty.

UPDATE: Kids have been found, arrested, and charged with 2 counts of animal cruelty each.

Omg, what the hell! That cat is being tortured, is this kid insane?!!? That poor cat, pets are supposed to be loved and cared for, not tortured like this! I am utterly appalled and disgusted, and really hope this kid gets punished for this if not sent to jail!

I…heard just the audio from this video. And.. I was completely..disgusted. I go to the same school as this…monster. Lawton, Oklahoma is the wrong place to make enemies…and he has certainly made quite a few… If he DOESN’T get locked up..he is going to have to face hell for the rest of his life here… or..I suppose anywhere now. Definitely something wrong with this….this kid needs to see a few bars. I cannot beleive he actually thought this would be funny or taken lightly….probably wants people to notice him. SICK. Well, your noticed alright…I am ready to adopt Dusty since you obviously do not care for the cat!!! These boys both need to go to jail for a while to think of their actions. I would hope the parents of these boys would be shocked and totally ashamed of their boys. I would also hope harsh punishment would fall on them from parents as well as police. animal abuse is not funny its sick and leads to more abuse. I hope they are prosecuted to the fullest.

BOTH the young man in question AND his parents need to be prosecuted to the FULLEST extent of the law. The parents of this nation are failing our children; failing to teach and show them the most important and basic morals that our nation used to thrive on. Why is this young man so angry? Good quetion; about him and 10,000 other young American males (a few females also). WHERE did we go wrong? Right in the homes is where. Make Mom and Dad pay too. It is the only way to make certain the world will take notice. We WILL not tolerate animal abuse any longer!!

I watched for a matter of seconds and had to turn it off. Did anyone else get the impression this cat has suffered before - it didn’t even try to fight back in what I saw. The poor thing - send him to me, I’ll gladly give him a loving home - in fact send the boys to me and I’ll give them some backwoods lessons! Plenty of empty wells in NW PA.

We need to PRAY for all the abused animals…there are many more than we will ever imagine! These bastards need someone to beat them like they beat this defenseless little kitty. These boys are nothing but cowards. Dusty the cat is in safe hands as of now. The two kids were arrested and released back into their parents’ custody, sans cat. The kids are out of police custody, but this is far from over for them. There will be more legal action to follow.

I am scared for our future if today’s children can so easily harm a living , breathing vessel and take such joy in doing so. I can’t watch videos like this but I can imagine. Anyone that abuses an animal needs to be evaluated by a professional~animal abuse is the first sign of a psycopath. Too bad the cat didn’t attack and scratch the kids face up….also there is a special place in hell for people like this. I have no time or sympathy for animal abusers.

Yes, it’s wrong. But so are all of you who think there kids should be tortured to ‘avenge’ dusty. You all eat Mcdonalds with a smile on your face, but as soon as someone touches a cat…we must kill them and torture them painfully! Hang on… I thought torture was wrong? Wake up to the real world. Hi. I’m crying as I sit here writing this. This is so sad. I just want to say that I am from Lawton Oklahoma and we are not all like that I and my children rescue cats and kittens as often as we can, and we bottle feed them and love them and give them good homes.
The latest news that I heard this morning is that Kenny Glenn is an 8th grader at MacArthur Middle School in Lawton, and he has been pulled out of normal school and attends juvie in the daytime, but still goes home in the afternoons. He has not been charged yet, and since he’s a juvenile, I doubt if he will be punished as much as he deserves.
I am one of the emergency dispatchers here, and got some of your calls. I am so glad that so many people cared enough to make those calls, and I’m glad that poor cat was rescued. Keep caring! The world needs peopla like you.

kids who abuse animals usually end up being serial killers. he should be taken out of society for good because that rage isnt going to go away and he will end up hurting more and more living things with no romorse. he should be punished to the fullest extent of the law and if the law doesnt feel like taking the proper actions i would love to. i have many animals and seeing this breaks my heart. but it also makes me so angry that i wouldnt feel bad if he suffered a horrible and slow death. what goes around comes around for pieces of Sh** like him. if he does go to prison or wherever they send filth like that, i hope the other inmates put him in his place and corn-hole him every single night and make him beg for mercy. i believe there is a special place in Hell for people like him and eventually he will have to answer for the wrongs he has commited. people think that, “oh, hes just a kid.” no he is a monster and will only get worse. he needs to be taken out.

He says in his other video: ‘we have taught him not to think of anything as punishment’ or something along those lines. How cruel of that kid! I have a dog who ran away for a week and a half, and when she came back, she was as meek as a lamb. Whenever I accidentally do something that would be considered mean -I have never hit her once- she just shrinks away and stares at me like I’m about to kill her. It makes me feel so bad, and knowing that this boy laughs at the cries the cats make… I can’t help but cry.

Oh, and also-Realistic Guy-I actually am a vegetarian, but even if I wasn’t, those kids would still deserve the harshest punishment possible. I understand what you’re saying, but the point is that those kids were torturing a sentient creature. While you don’t have to eat meat to survive, people eat it for that reason. Those kids did what they did for fun, not for any good reason. It’s not really the same thing.
